This folder includes files that can be used as a starting point for building your own guide files. These files contain the basic Guide Script commands and the resources needed to create a guide file conforming to the Apple Guide human interface guidelines. These files have been expanded and updated since the System 7.5 release, so be sure to use these new versions.

  8. To use these files

  10. 1. Copy these files to your system.
  11.  
  12. 2. Open the “Standard Setup” file in your favorite word processor, then start editing the template Guide Script commands to customize the setup for your guide file.

  14. 3.  Open the “Content” file in your favorite word processor, and start adding your own content.
  15.  
  16. 4. Use the Guide Maker build utility to compile your Guide Script files into a guide file.
